Concerned about the escalating prevalence of diabetes in the Philippines and realizing the need to address the issues related to the disease, Prof. Augusto D. Litonjua, the Philippines’ foremost endocrinologist, and a group of dedicated doctors banded together in October 1990, and along with other diabetes lay crusaders, established the Philippine Center for Diabetes Education Foundation (PCDEF).

OUR VISION:

We see a citizenry that is knowledgeable about diabetes mellitus and skillful in the prevention and management of the disease.

OUR MISSION:

We aim to improve the quality of life of Filipinos by developing and providing a comprehensive and effective diabetes education program for the country.

OUR VALUES:

Patience and perseverance are virtues which we would like to instill in the minds of our educators in the pursuit of knowledge.

Commitment to the community: providing the best education selflessly.

Dedication amidst all obstacles.

Excellent curriculum as well as a well-trained and committed faculty.

Faith in God firstly, and to yourself that you shall win the battle against ignorance of diabetes.
